Last week, we gave you 10 different dog breed soft toys. This week, we feature cats! Including fun facts about the various cat breeds, we present the plush toy versions of these cats.

1. Tabby

Contrary to popular belief, tabby cats are actually not a cat breed! Tabbies refer to domestic cats with distinctive stripes on their coat and an ‘M’-shaped mark on their foreheads.

The most famous cartoon tabby cat is none other than Pusheen The Cat! This grey tabby rose to fame due to its adorable Facebook stickers, and relatable comic strips. You can click here in order to view our full collection of Pusheen soft toys!

Besides Pusheen, there is another GUND-manufactured tabby cat soft toy, which is the orange tabby cat, Sienna. Made of ultra-soft plush material, Sienna is perfect for little children to cuddle with!

2. Caticorn

What could be better than a cat and a unicorn combined? We cannot think of a possible answer. The caticorn is a magical combination of cats and unicorns, two of the most adored creatures by young girls nowadays! While you will probably never see one in real life, you could get one of these irresistible plushies~

GUND’s Rainbow Shimmer Caticorn is a great option – a glittery horn and a pastel-coloured coat makes the cat look majestic and beautiful. Not to mention its fluffy pink tail that has sparkles in it too! We are sure this will be appreciated no matter who receives it.

Remember Pusheen? Well, there is the unicorn version of Pusheen called Pusheenicorn! The Pusheenicorn plush toy (pictured on the left) looks just like Pusheen, but with a sparkly horn, rainbow mane and a rainbow tail! There are multiple coloured versions if you would prefer them (purple, green, pink). If not, you could get her sister, Stormicorn (pictured on the right) as well.

3. Calico

Calico cats are cats with a white-based coat and large patches of orange and black, or cream and grey on them. One fun fact about these cats is that they are widely believed to bring good luck in various cultures.

On the left, we have the Calico Cat Plush Toy from Sunlemon, a Japanese manufacturer of soft toys which emphasises on the cuteness of their design. See for yourself how they include the various patches of colour in an adorable fashion!

On the right side, we have GUND’s Chelsea Calico Cat. The coat of this soft toy has more colour compared to Sunlemon’s, as even its tail is mostly orange. If you prefer a calico cat with more patches, then this would be a great option for you!

4. Abyssinian

Not to be biased, but the Abyssinian cat is my personal favourite! This cat is recognisable by its slender body and distinctive ticked tabby coat. Referred to as the Aby, it has been thought to be one of the oldest cat breeds in history.

Sunlemon created a super cute version of the Abyssinian cat soft toy! It has the pointed ears and the characteristic tabby coat of the actual cat. Furthermore, the Aby plush toy has different textures for its scruff and belly, which makes it really nice to hug!

5. Scottish Fold

True to their name, Scottish Fold cats have ears which ‘fold’, or bend forwards towards the front. However, all Folds are born with straight and unfolded ears, and the fold will appear within around 21 days. The kittens which eventually do not develop folded ears are referred to as ‘Straights’.

We have two different coloured Scottish Fold cats, because they are just too cute to choose from! The kitten on the left is the brown Scottish Fold, while we have a grey-coated Scottish Fold cat on the right.

6. Tuxedo

Unsurprisingly, these cats are called tuxedo cats because they look like the formal tuxedos which men wear. A bicolour cat, they have black coats and white fur on its paws, belly and chins.

Pictured on the left is GUND’s Sebastion Tuxedo Cat. As it has beads in its paws, you can make the cat plushie pose in any way you want! How fun it is to play with~ On the other hand, Sunlemon’s Tuxedo Kitten is a more petite version with larger, blue eyes.

7. Siamese

Did you know, Siamese cats were once treated as royalty due to their mysteriously beautiful appearances? Thai royalty believed that Siamese cats would receive their soul when they died, hence the cats would be pampered by priests and monks for the rest of their lives.

Sunlemon captures the characteristic pale grey coat and striking blue eyes in their Siamese Cat Soft Toy. They also have darker brown details on the backs of its ears, paws, muzzle and tail.

8. Ragdoll

Ragdoll cats have bright blue eyes, and soft and silky coats. One special thing about them is that they are seen to be similar to dogs, due to their affectionate nature and hobby of following people around.

We found a Ragdoll Kitten Soft Toy which has a grey and white coat. Its soft plush material would feel just like the real fur of the cat!

9. White Cat

After all these different coloured coats, we feature white-coated cats! White cats are generally considered to be a symbol of good luck across the world. This could be due to them consisting only 5% of the general cat population.

Sunlemon has a unique White Cat Plush Toy design, as the cat has one blue eye and one yellow eye!

While Christmas is not here yet, you could get a head start by getting this adorable white cat with a Santa’s hat!

10. Persian

Last but most definitely not the least, we have the Persian cat. A long-haired cat breed, the Persian cat is recognised by its round face and short muzzle.

Sunlemon’s Persian Kitten Soft Toy is a traditional Persian, with its distinct muzzle. Its coat is completely white, and has longer fur than the other cat plush toys, staying true to its characteristics of a long-haired cat breed.

What? We have come to the end of the list? You have got to be kitten me… If you cannot get enough of cute cats, we have another blog post about cat-themed baby gifts you can read!
