PayPal is one of the best known and widely used system in the world. From your Shopping Cart Summary, you are taken directly to the PayPal website, and no third party is involved.

IMPORTANT: We do not obtain or hold any personal financial information other than the payment notification from PayPal. For more information about how secure PayPal is, please refer to PayPal website.

PayPal may charge a card a temporary US$1.00 amount whenever card information is added, edited, updated, or changed. This is an important security feature that is an industry standard for online processing because it allows PayPal to verify that you are the account holder of the card and that the card information is correct. This is commonly referred to as a “pre-authorization.”

However, this charge is only temporary and will never be permanently claimed by PayPal. While each card issuer may vary, the $1.00 will be returned to your card balance. It is not permanent.

What does “secure payment” mean?

This means that your personal data (such as your credit card details) provided to us during your online purchase is protected.  Such protection prevents a malicious “eavesdropper” from intercepting your data and using it to steal your identity or cause you financial loss.  A secure website like Diaper Cakes Singapore uses encryption technology to ensure that your personal data provided to us is kept and remains confidential.

We also provide payment options such as bank transfer for customers who prefer to do so.  We have both OCBC and POSB bank accounts available for payments via bank transfer.

How do you recognise Secure Payments?

There are two signs to look for to indicate that the site is one with secure payment methods:

• Look for a padlock symbol in your browser window. Be wary of a padlock that appears on the web page itself. It’s easy for a fraudster to copy the image of a padlock. You need to look for one that is in the window frame of the browser itself. You can also click on the padlock to check that the seller is who they say they are and that their certificate is current and registered to the right address and company name.

• The website address should also begin with ‘https://’ , indicating that it is a secure, encrypted connection.
